A Great First Day!

A great first day at #AW2017! Wind died down and the Minute To Win It Cup Challenge has officially begun ….I think we might have some potential professional cup stackers in the making! We lost not one, but two teeth today (natural causes I might add)– the tooth fairy might be making her first ever trip to Arrowood tonight! 🙂 Looking forward to our first full day tomorrow. Until then, sleep well and dream big!

First Night Cheers

Congrats to the Lynx and Purdue for the best team cheer award on the 1st night of camp! I know many parents were concerned about the weather… we literally flew under the radar for most of it and just had some lightning and a brief rain shower which brought some cooler temps so that was good! We even breezed thru all of the scheduled activities before the rain hit and got in a round of dodge ball… so all in all a great start to #AW2016!! #LifeIsBetteratArrowood

Arrowood 2015 Comes to a Close

Well, I am guessing everyone is back to their normal routine and “recovered” from a busy, but awesome week of camp. I just wanted to take a second to reflect…thank you to all the campers and staff who made it a fabulous week.  It’s hard to believe all the work that goes into making camp happen and then it seems like it’s over in a blink of an eye.  We ended with most possibly one of the best (and longest) skit nights in the history of Arrowood!  🙂 My hope is that campers left Arrowood with a few new nuggets to add to their basketball bag of skills, perhaps a few new friends, and lots of lessons that will help them in the bigger game called life. Campers use this summer as a time to practice your skills, develop your work ethic and…JUST GET BETTER!  As the 2015 neon pink and orange tank top says, “If you think practice is boring, try sitting on the bench!” Hope to see everyone for AW 2016!  Enjoy the rest of your summer! 🙂
